1991 AL Standings

July 21, 1991

My Detroit Tigers are holding onto 1st place in the AL East with their steady play. The Toronto Blue Jays continue to keep pace with Detroit and trail by just 4 games. The Chicago White Sox have the best record in the AL and hold 1st place in the AL West. With 6 of the 7 teams in the West at .500 or better, the race for the top spot looks to continue well into the late stages of the season.

1991 NL Standings

July 20, 1991

Standings in the NL reveal that the Pittsburgh Pirates current 20 game winning streak has put considerable distance between them and the rest of the pack in the Eastern Division. The 2nd place St. Louis Cardinals are now 13 games behind. The Atlanta Braves continue to lead the NL West with the LA Dodgers keeping a close 2nd place spot. It's interesting to note that those top 2 teams in each division are the only teams in the NL with a "+" differential in Runs Scored vs. Runs Against.
