Bill Gullickson pitched a complete game as the amazing Detroit Tigers beat the
Cleveland Indians by a score of 4 to 2.
Detroit came up with 2 runs in the bottom of the 2nd inning when they had 3
base hits. The highlight belonged to Milt Cuyler who thrilled the crowd when
he laced a one-base hit bringing in two baserunners. Detroit finished with
10 hits in the victory.
Gullickson(17-14) lasted until the end allowing 2 runs for the win. Eric
King(10-3) was the loser. He gave up 10 hits and 3 walks in 8 innings.
'Gullickson took our guys to school' Mike Hargrove said. 'Too bad he doesn't
pitch for us - it would make my job a whole lot easier!'
