Atlanta 3rd baseman Terry Pendleton hit for the cycle today as the Braves defeated the Cincinnati Reds 8-3. Pendleton's last hit to complete the cycle was homer in the 7th inning.

Terry Pendleton hit for the cycle and had 2 RBI at Fulton County as the
Atlanta Braves beat the Cincinnati Reds by the count of 8 to 3.
 
Pendleton provided much of the offense.  He lined a one-base hit in the 2nd
inning, tripled which scored a run in the 4th inning, doubled in the 5th
inning and cracked a solo homerun in the 7th inning.  Atlanta had 15 hits for
the game and Cincinnati had 9.  
 
Tom Glavine(2-0) picked up the victory, allowing 3 runs in 8 and 1/3 innings.
Jack Armstrong(0-2) was given the loss.  He was hit hard and gave up 10 hits
and 3 walks in 4 innings.
