The ageless wonder, 44 year old Nolan Ryan, struck out 15 batters today in a 9-3 Texas victory over the Baltimore Orioles. Ryan allowed 5 hits and walked 1 while getting his 1st win of the season.

Nolan Ryan reeled off a total of 15 strikeouts as the Texas Rangers defeated
the Baltimore Orioles 9 to 3 at Arlington Stadium.
 
Ryan(1-0) was in control of the game from the outset.  He allowed only 5 hits
and 1 walk in 9 innings and surrendered 2 homeruns improving his ERA from
4.76 to 3.07.  Texas totaled 10 hits on the afternoon.  
 
Jeff Robinson(0-1) was the losing pitcher.  'Everything felt great' Ryan said.
'I had a good fastball, I felt I could throw it by everybody today.'
