1991 NL Game: SF @ Pit.

August 24, 1991

The Pittsburgh Pirates won their 8th game in a row tonight 9-8 over the San Francisco Giants. Back in July the Pirates had a 20 game winning streak. Two days after hitting for the cycle, Gary Redus  hit a grand slam home run to help lead to the Pittsburgh victory. They now lead the 2nd place St. Louis Cardinals by 15 games in the NL East.
