In a very important game for the Detroit Tigers, the Tigers were able to come from behind and win in dramatic fashion. Trailing 6-4 in the 9th inning Detroit scored twice to send the game into extra innings. In the top of the 10th inning Tiger pinch hitter Scott Livingstone hit his 1st homerun of the season, a 2 run shot that proved to be the margin for victory. Mike Henneman closed out the game for the Win, his 9th of the season.
Detroit now leads Toronto by 1 game in the AL East with 3 games left to play in the regular season.

Center fielder Milt Cuyler hit 2 doubles and scored 3 times as the mighty
Detroit Tigers topped the Boston Red Sox in 10 innings by a score of 10 to 6
at Fenway Park.
The score was tied at 6 after nine. Detroit came out on top in the 10th
inning. The biggest moment was provided by Scott Livingstone who
disappointed the partisan crowd when he cracked a two-run shot. It was
roller coaster of a game as the lead change hands 5 times.
Mike Henneman(9-7) was the winner allowing no runs in 2 and 1/3 innings. The
loss was charged to Jeff Reardon(4-5) in relief. He was knocked around,
surrendering 5 runs in 2 innings.
