October 13, 1991The Atlanta Braves finally got on the scoreboard after 28 scoreless innings by getting 2 runs in the 3rd inning of tonight's game. But Pittsburgh prevailed in the end and defeated the Braves 5-3 to complete the sweep of the 1991 National League Championship Series. Atlanta's bats finally came alive in this game and the score was tied 3-3 in the 8th inning before Barry Bonds hit a solo homerun to give the Pirates a 4-3 lead. Gary Redus added a solo shot in the 9th and Stan Belinda closed out the game, and the Series, for Pittsburgh.
